Assassin’s Creed Mirage is the latest installment in the popular action-adventure franchise from Ubisoft. It is set to be released on October 12, 2023 for Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PlayStation®5, PlayStation®4, EPIC, PC and Amazon Luna. In this blog post, we will cover everything you need to know about the game, from its gameplay trailer to its deluxe edition.

Assassin’s Creed Mirage Gameplay Trailer

The first thing you might want to watch is the gameplay trailer of Assassin’s Creed Mirage. It showcases the stunning graphics, the immersive city of Baghdad, and the stealth mechanics of the game. You can see how Basim, the main protagonist, uses his parkour skills, his hidden blade, and his tools to navigate the environment and assassinate his targets. You can also catch a glimpse of some of the historical figures and locations that will appear in the game, such as Harun al-Rashid, the Abbasid caliph, and Alamut, the fortress of the Hidden Ones. The trailer also reveals some of the new features of the game, such as the Assassin Focus ability that can be used during combat, and the poles that can be used to cross wide gaps.

Assassin’s Creed Mirage Release Date

Assassin’s Creed Mirage is scheduled to be released on October 12, 2023. If you pre-order the game, you will get a bonus quest called The Forty Thieves, which is inspired by the Arabian Nights stories. You can pre-order the game from Ubisoft’s official website or from your preferred retailer.

Assassin’s Creed Mirage Stealth Mechanics

One of the main selling points of Assassin’s Creed Mirage is its stealth mechanics. The game is intended to be reminiscent of older Assassin’s Creed titles, being more linear and story-focused and reducing the number of role-playing elements present in recent installments of the series. For assassination missions, Mirage adopts the “Black Box” design previously seen in Assassin’s Creed Unity and Assassin’s Creed Syndicate, where players have to explore environment to find different ways to reach and eliminate their targets. Basim also has access to both Eagle Vision and an avial companion in the form of Enkidu (named after the character from the Epic of Gilgamesh), an Eastern imperial eagle that can be used to scout nearby areas. Unlike previous Assassin’s Creed games which featured avial companions, enemy archers can detect and shoot at Enkidu. Some of the other stealth features include smoke bombs, throwing knives, poison darts, chain assassinations, and more visceral assassinations than ever before.

Assassin’s Creed Mirage Basim Story

Assassin’s Creed Mirage follows the story of Basim Ibn Ishaq (a character first introduced in Assassin’s Creed Valhalla) and his transition from street thief to fully-fledged member of the Assassin Brotherhood. Basim is a cunning and charismatic young man who has nightmarish visions that he seeks to understand. He joins an ancient organization and comes to learn a new creed – one that will change his fate in ways he never could have imagined. Along the way, he will meet an inspiring cast of characters who will shape his destiny and may be more than what they seem. The game is set in 9th-century Baghdad during the Islamic Golden Age, a period of cultural and scientific flourishing under the Abbasid dynasty. The game will also feature Alamut, the legendary home of the Assassins who laid the foundations of the Creed in this heartfelt homage to the game that started it all.
